command button appearance

I am using xp syyles, generally, but in one instance I would like to show a
button with a transparent background and no frame. I've tried setting the
flatstyle to flat but the frame remains.

Hi Bernie,

Did you try the backcolor of the button on transparant (it is in the
webcolors).
It is maybe a little bit the amateur way but it is very few work to try.
(I dont know if it also works with XP styles on)

Yes, I did try that, but it didn't change anything.

You will have to create a custom drawn button, some examples can be
