Combo box limits - concatenated

The rowsource of a combo box will contain 5,000 or so names (the
column displayed will be last name, first name concatenated). The
primary key will drop into the table.

The database will have a small group of users.

Is this an acceptable practice? If not, suggestions?

A combo box has a max 65536, as a Integer Limit, Rows when
RowSourceType is Table/Query

Do you use "Value list" as RowSourseType...?

If YES
There is a different limit on the length of the Value List, not 65536
Rows, but 2048 bytes

....Why this solution...?
Query is better
Recordset also better

you should be able to use the SQL String directly as the RowSource
(with RowSourceType "Table/Query") for the ComboBox rather than using

Recordset and AddItem

If you need to use RowSource---> String, you must use a CallBack
function as a RowSourceType....

If NO
I don't understand, but to have more than thausand rows in a combo is
very hard for users...
