Combo box bleed through

I am running the latest IE 6 on XP SP1.
I have created a DHTML poplist. When that popup appears over a combo box,
the combo box bleeds through the pop-up. I have tried everything I can
think of in the CSS including manipulating the z-index style.
I have seen other references to this, but no solution.
Is this a known problem in IE? Is there any circumvention or tips on how to
stop this?(I'd rather not have to hide underlying combo boxes if I can avoid
it)

Thanks.

Hi,

You might want to give us something to look at (an url or some code). I
don't see what kind of CSS tweaking you can do with a popup...

Kind regards
