Combining Two Times

I need to combine to time fields. When I combine them they come back with a
result of hh:mm:ss AM/PM. What I need is hh:mm. The fields it is pulling from
is formatted as a short time.

The format is irrelevant. An Access Date/Time value, regardless of format, is
a Double Float number, a count of days and fractions of a day (times) since
midnight, December 30, 1899. You can set the Format of a field to *display*
only the hours and minutes - use a Short Time format, or an explicit "hh:nn"
format ("n" is miNutes, "m" is Months).

It's not clear from your message what you want to "combine" though!
