I just bought a new laptop that is preconfigued with 2
partitions. How can I combine them and just have one?
Im not afraid of losing any data or info I just don't
want 2 partitions, i only want one c drive. Thanks for
your help.

Third-party programs (like PartitionMagic 8.0) would allow you to combine
them without losing data at all, but you could always reformat/repartition
the drive using FDISK, which would require you to reinstall the OS and
anything else (ie. wipes your drive clean).

Partition Magic should do it without losing Data.

But if you truly aren't afraid of losing anythig.. Reinstall with whatever
partitioning you want.

The other partition is likely a recovery partition. If you delete it,
you will lose the recovery features that your OEM installed.

Clean install and delete the current partitions during the setup.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.
