Can I append an old Outlook.pst file to my existing
Outlook.pst file? My HD crashed and it will take a week
before I get my data back so I would like to know if in a
week from now I will be able to append my old records
(contacts, appointments, messages) to my new .pst file

Yes, just do an import.

No need to import. Just open the old pst file with Outlook.

Brian.Tillman is the name, smiths-aerospace.com is the domain.

I don't speak for Smiths, and Smiths doesn't speak for me.

But the OP specifically asked about COMBINING two pst files, not opening two
pst files together.

I have never actually tried this, but when you do an import you have the
option of replacing, adding or ignoring duplicates. My guess is either
adding or ignoring (depending on how many duplicates this would create or
how much new data you might lose) would be the way to go.
