combining distributions lists

I have several distributions lists with contacts that I would like to combine
into one big distribution. How would I do this?
 
Create a new DL and then add the existing DLs to it.

From Outlook's help: "You can use distribution lists in messages, task requests,
meeting requests, and other distribution lists."
