combine 2 files

Folks:



I have 2 audio files (WAV format) each 30 minutes in duration.
I am looking for a way to create ONE single file by combining these 2 files.

There are many free tools that will make work easier but here is the Windows Sound
Recorder method:
Open Sound Recorder
Click File> Open
Browse for your 1st file that will become the starting
After Opening, click the ">>" button
Click Edit > Insert file.
Again, browse for your file
Click File > Save as

I am using Windows XP (Home). Can you tell me what application file (*.exe)
would run or launch Windows Sound Recorder from the command prompt.

sndrec32.exe
Alternatively, you can launch this application by:
Start > All programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound recorder

This is got to be one of the most frustrating/non-intutivie pieces of
software I have ever tried to use! All it wants to do is play both wavs
at the same time and will not let the second one begin where the first
one ends. Copy paste would not work. Maybe I got a bad copy or
something but the the built in windows snd recorder works much better
for combing wavs. Hope this helps someone trying to accomplish what
should be an easy task.
