com1 not available

I upgraded to a gigabyte motherboard and a p4 2.4. Now when I try to hotsync
my palm it says com1 is not available. I've uninstalled the port and
rebooted, I've uninstalled the palm software and rebooted, nothing helps.
Anybody got any ideas?

check your bios and see if its turned on there
