Hi,

I have a new Dell with WinXP, and I need to redirect LPT to COM1 to use
an old MSDOS app.

Until today, with Win9X, I did this in autoexec.bat:

MODE LPT1:=COM1:

If I test it in Win2k, it works too, but with XP it fails...

If I only do MODE, I have a list of ports, but in XP, no COM ports are
listed... So I can't do the 'bridge'.

But COM1 is there, and works...

What am I missing ?

TIA

The problem is that I have the printer installed as Generic Printer in
Windows... If I delete it, I have COM1 available from cmd...

Is it possible to print from both windows and cmd at the 'same' time ?
