Windows XP Home

After installing SP2, my dial-up would no longer communicate with the
server. It connects, but does not communicate with server. The device
manger does not show a com port at all.

I uninstalled SP2 with no help.

Any help??

Have you installed the modem driver?

Q

Modem seems to be communicating just fine, I can ping a site successfully but
internet explorer orother browsers or my e-mail program won't communicate.
I've lowered all security to the lowest level or off. There are no com ports
listed in the device manager. I've uninstalled and installed the modem. Sure
don't want to reinstall XP.

Still no solutions and looking for help.
