Column Limitation?

I need to create a table with 300 columns. It appears that Access allows for
a maximum of 255 columns. Is this correct? Is there any way to get around
this limitation?
 
There's no way around the limit, but then a properly normalized database
should never require anywhere near that many fields in a single table.

Perhaps if you explain what the 300 fields are, one of us can help you
design the tables.
