Help
trying to change the colour from 16 to 250 when I do this
it states computer will now shut down and restart with new
settings, doing this- but it still comes up as 16 therefore
am unable to use my internet as when trying to set up can
not get a visible screen to put aol version 9 on, and they
say I need 250 colour not 16.
This occured since my grandaughter put a disney disc in my
computer which was new by all accounts.
Please help
want to access my e-mails at home having to get them using
someone elses computer

Hey Karen. First I want you to check what size your screen is set to.
Right click on your desktop and click properties. Now click the Settings
Tab. Try setting your Resolution or screen size to 1024x768. This may
appear small to you and it may ask you to reboot, go ahead and let it.
Now see if the setting allows you to go beyond 256 colors. If it won't
let you go any higher than what you are at, you may not have the video
card drivers installed or they need to be updated.

I am sure your computer is capable of showing more than 16 or 256
colors. Here is what you can do. Click this link and download this
program: http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?pid=1&lang=en&pageid=3

Install it, open it, and look for the information on your video card.
The program should provide a link to the drivers for your video card
near the bottom. If you post a follow up with the video card make and
model, I can point you to the correct drivers as well.
