Colour in backgrounds and fonts

Hi folk,

I would very much like to be able to choose from
a broader range of colours re backgrounds on my
emails and in the colours of the font letters.
a) Is this possible?
b) Would people at the other end be able to see the diffs?

Any info. would be much appreciated.

Sorry to be so negative, but...

a) It may depend on what email program you are using.

b) It will certainly depend on what email program the recipient has.
e.g. I use plain text, so if anyone sends me email with backgrounds
and colours, they have wasted their time and effort.
