color scheme generators

Does anyone know of apps which help generate color schemes? I've
looked around a bit, but there are a lot of color pickers which won't
generate schemes, and they keep turning up in my searches. It makes
wading through the results a bit of a chore.

I've found two so far.

Anry Color Picker
<http://www.anryhome.com/software/colorpicker/>
The user picks one color, and Anry can generate five more colors for
the scheme, made up of either similar colors or contrasting ones. The
UI is a bit quirky IMO, but this is a very nice little app. 244 KiB
zip containing a standalone exe.

Color Cop
<http://www.prall.net/tools/colorcop/>
Generates a palette of 42 complementary colors by shifting the HSL
values. 42 are too many for me, but still it's a nice feature.


There are a lot of web-based generators, but I'd rather have a local
app.

The quicksharing page isn't working for me. The file info section says
"File size: 0.00 MB / 0 KB" and clicking the download link just takes
me to their homepage. At the bottom of the page I see the errors

Warning: Unknown(): write failed: No space left on device (28) in
Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please
verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct
(/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Maybe they are having some server trouble. I'll try again later.
 
Thanks again! I was actually looking for that one in particular
earlier, but its homepage is dead and I didn't think of snapfiles.

I didn't think of it either. ;)
SnapFiles only turned up for me following up a secundary Google result.
I was surprised to find they still have a local copy for download. :)
 
Next release will make everything detachable and dockable to allow you to
create the interface you want...
