color display is dim

Hello everyone I need some help. I was playing a game
when me laptop must have overheated and shut off. Now
all the color is off, it is very dim. Many things are
hard to see. I have tried going to the contol panel and
change the settings but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

If it's a hardware issue, software settings won't help. You may need to
contact your vendor for service.
