Prior to installing MS Office 2003 Pro, I was able to use color
banding in Excel 2002 worksheets, using a Conditional Formatting
formula such as =mod(row(),2)=1. But, now with Excel 2003 it gives a
"formula you typed contains an error" message. It hightlights the ",2"
portion of the formula. I've tried a number of variations suggested on
Chip Pearson's web pages, but always get an error. How do I get color
banding to work in Excel 2003?

What happens if you open an old workbook where it worked in your new version of
Excel?

Wow! That worked, Frank! Using a semicolon as the delimiter is the
key. Now, how did you know to use that?

Thanks a million (Euros!),
Jerry

Hi Jerry
simple :-)
As I use a non-English Excel version with different regional settings I
encounter this problem quite often :-)
