Hello

I have installed the "cmdcons" program on my Thinkpad R40

When I boot from this program it ask me for my admin password (which I have
and works if booting from F8), the password is refused and it won't let me
use the program

Anybody got any ideas

I use this program on my other compueters with no problems
Thanks

Yes I found that after my post, but I un-installed CMDCONs to re install it
again, but know have another problem that is as I am running the SP2, XP
refuses to install it saying that my version is too old

So know my question is how to install CDMCONS on a XP SP2 system

Thanks

It must be installed from a "slipstreamed" version of SP2 into XP. Search
Google, plenty of web site can tell you how to build one of those.

pardon me, but there has GOT to be an easier way. Did not SP2 in the most
basic sense, upgrade certain files. Seems to me that when MS published SP2
there ought to be someplace to get the updated files to reinstall or update
the Recovery Console....Isn't there.?

: pardon me. i was under the impression that slipstreaming was
difficult. It took a while to sink in that it is as simple as copy a few
files and running a few command line entries. My apologies to all for
whining...:)
