cmd window doesn't support UNC paths

Hi,

I found an article amougst the many on the MSDN technet saying that the CMD
window (in NT4 had a problem supporting UNC paths, but was fixed in a SP).
Now in XP I'm finding that UNC paths are still not supported... will they
ever be ?

Not sure? Why do you need UNC in cmd? You might want to give a look at
PsTools from sysinternals. You can actually load up cmd on a remote
computer and use cmd as if you were sitting at the other machine.

The command you need to type would be psexec \\uncname cmd
