CMD will not run

CMD will not run/ its cannot open this file. It comes up
with a error messige saying windows need to know what
kind of file it is to open it. what do i do? using the
webbased service douse not work

Go to run--> gpedit.msc and drill down through the

folders there. You'll find a setting for enabling "cmd".

Sorry, but there's a lot there and I can't remember where
I saw it.

Make sure the tab at the bottom of the right pane
says "extended". This will give you an explanation of
what each of the various settings does.
