Closing in Print Preview

Suddenly, today, as I am checking my Excel documents in Print Preview as I "close" the print preview box, Excel hangs up until I hit "Cntrl+Alt+delete" and then I get a box that states that my "Resources are dangerously low" and the screen freezes
What has caused this? I have worked with Excel for years and have never encountered this until this morning. I am using Excel ME Version on a Dell PC.
 
Just brainstorming....

Do you have any ActiveX controls in excel document?

I heard ME can be an unstable operating system, maybe that
has something to do with it.

Did you try the infamous "reboot" and the have the problem
repeat?

Did you have more than usual number of applications or
workbooks open?
