closing an access application automatically not in use

i want my access application to close automatically when its not used by users.

I build access applications that serve many users at different locations.
almost always someone leaves there application open after and i can't load
newer versions without first asking the user to close the application.

i want to some procedure that measures elapsed time from last
movement/action/update and if the time is above X minutes closes the
application.

any ideas???
