Hi SeaJay",
Is it possible to create a hyperlink within a MsWord Document that would
Close MsWord?
No. Hyperlinks open files. But you could insert a MacroButton field in a
document that calls a macro and closes Word.

Is there something specific you are trying to accomplish? Perhaps there may
be some options to offer.

I find it hard to understand how a hyperlink could be any more convenient
than Alt+F4 or clicking the standard Close button (x) in the upper right
corner of the Word window... especially if the reader isn't already on the
same page as the hyperlink.

I am attempting to create a button of some sort within a Word Document that
would allow a user to "Close" the Document & Close Word with a single click
of a mouse ... I know the "Red X Close Button" would do the same thing, but
I want to attempt to use something within the document its self.

Cindy M suggested using a MacroButton field in a document that calls a macro
and closes Word ... but, I am not familiar with Macros in Word, and wouldn't
know how to accomplish such.

From the menu, choose Insert - Field, set Categories to All, set Field Name
to MacroButton. Set the Display text to something like "Close Word", and set
the Macro Name to FileExit (it's a built in command). Then choose OK. When
you double-click the resulting button, Word will prompt to save any unsaved
changes, and then close Word.
