How to close my massege port?Even the farewall dont help
me.I use black ICE defender. Is there a way to close the
this problem forever?Pls explain how to do it.

Message port?

You should be blocking all inbound ports by default - BlackIce can do that
for you.

the only one true way is to end the messenger service..
not sure as to what it binds to but i have had no
problems after disabling it.. before that i used a
program that intercepted the messages.. lost my hd and
forgot the name of the app though

Greetings --

Frankly, if your firewall isn't working properly, you're wisest
course of action would be to disconnect the machine from the Internet
until you get it fixed. Doing anything else is exceedingly foolish,
given today's well-publicized Internet environment.

Use the firewall to ensure UDP ports 135, 137, and 138 and TCP
ports 135, 139, and 445 are _all_ blocked. You may also disable
Inbound NetBIOS (NetBIOS over TCP/IP). You'll have to follow the
instructions from firewall's manufacturer for the specific steps.

Not true. If you *just* disable the messenger service and you were getting
popups, your firewall is failing to block one or more key ports and you're
still vulnerable. While the Messenger service might be good to disable, it
is still less of an urgent threat than other things that your computers are
currently allowing in.
