Hi,

We have several pc' running a mix off Windows 2k and Windows XP Pro.
Each has Office XP installed. All service patched up etc.
Each PC is connected onto a domain with Exchange server 5.5 running.

Whenever a user has Outlook running and selects ShutDown or Close all
programs and log in as a different user. Windows will not automatically
close Outlook, and gives the message ' Close all Office Applications before
Shutdown'

Some users have critical response times and need to be certain that
selecting Ctrl+Alt+Del+ShutDown will logg them out of windows. Is there any
way to get Outlook to close gracefully on Windows Shutdown?

TIA

This could be caused by using Word as the email editor in Outlook. If you
turn off this option in Outlook, does the shutdown message persist?

I also have this problem where Outlook will not shut down properly and I have
to end program in the Task Manager. I do not use Word as my email editor in
Outlook. This happens on any of my operating systems whether 2000 or XP.
Outlook.exe is still active in the background.
