No. Why should there be ?

To properly clone a hard disk you boot OUTSIDE the OS such as booting from a Ghost Boot
Disk.

Just making sure before I work on cloning a hard drive later this
week. I had "issues: with XP Pro repair re-install when these are
installed.

AFAIK, modern cloning utilities don't requre the utility
to be separately booted. They can be started up like any
other app. One example is CasperXP, and I believe that
is also true for latter versions of Ghost and True Image.

Most "cloning" utilities that I have seen either require the PC to be
booted OUTSIDE of Windows or re-start XP in a "pre-boot" mode.

Anyway, any other "opinions" are mute as the cloning of the hard drive
is complete.
