W2000) for change a PID of WinXpe run - time image. In
this case like as w2000 I could also in XpE cloning the
run-time image with ghost.

Thank you

Alessandro

I don't understand question.

But in XPe you have component/tool that will create unique image next time you boot XPe (after ghosting it to other device).

Can you elaborate on "component/tool that will create unique image next time
you boot XPe (after ghosting it to other device)"

I need to make a copy of a image before I install it and I do not know how
on XPe.

Hi Jeff,

I guess yu are talkin about the System Cloning Tool.It is used for
sealing the image for multiple production. It happens after the
FBAReseal. After the power down it becomes a resource for multiple
production with unique SID.
Ghost this image and for each boot it creates a new SID for that
system.

OK, I must be missing the System Cloning Tool. That could be a problem. I've
installed MS Wind. Embedded Studio (target designer) but when I run this
app. it errors out with a DB connection not found. Is SQL server required?
LORD, I feel like a "user"!

Why can't Microsoft make anything easy?

Thank you,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I had a feeling that you had working Taget Designer and that you had made one XPe build that will actually work. (Usually people ask
about cloning later).
Cloning tool is component that you add to your project from within TD.
Why can't Microsoft make anything easy?

I have no idea what you did to your computer, but.
1. Use clean HDD.
2. Install clean Windows XP.
3. Install everything that from XPe tools installation wizard.

This should be enough.

Slobodan

Jeff,

Make sure that your database is all connected properly. Are you
accessing your database from a remote system ? Well its okey in having
both in the same system (good configuration system).Sometimes my
database problems had really put me in the front of Reinstallation of
the DB ..
Check whether the SQL server is in the running state.

How do I make it so it reloads the drivers. for the system.

Thanks

How do I make it so it reloads the drivers. for the system.

Can you describe what problem you're seeing? You shouldn't have to do
anything special to get drivers to reload - they're not unloaded or
removed by FBRESEAL.EXE. The next boot of the machine should just reset
the SID, change the computer name, perform some other cleanup, and
start-up as normal.
