I ws working away and my word processor crashed! I use a timeclock on my computer to track my progress for clients and it crashed at the same time... when I brought it back up, it refused to work, I then noticed that my computer had jumped back in time to june 12 2001!
Has anyone heard of this? My virus scan came up blank and Norton claimed to have an issue with Norton 2001, but I use Norton 2003. Is this a computer worm or virus? or an XP glitch? I want to stop this NOW :)!

It is possible your system battery on the motherboard died. Have you tried
just resetting the clock turning the computer off overnight and seeing if it
keeps the time? If it does not you need a new battery. If the computer is
under warranty I would call Dell just in case it is something that caused
the battery to drain!

You've got to be kidding, right? the battery will run you less than 5
dollars.
