Clipboard is always available. Some applications may clear it in a way
that interferes with its normal performance.

What are you trying to do, and what has gone wrong?

The clipboard does not show by default unless you are thinking of Microsoft
Office. Then you can have multiple items on the clipboard and it will show
in a panel in the document windows.

There are 3rd party add ons that will enhance the usability of the clipboard
in Windows and allow you to copy/paste multiple items.

NB the clipboard runs whether or not you have a viewer for it.

Look in C:\WINDOWS\System32 for 'clipbrd' (Clipboard Viewer) Copy and paste
it to your desktop or wherever.........

Yes.

It's always available. Select what you want to copy to it and press Ctrl-C
to copy to the clipboard, or Ctrl-X to cut to it. Then put the cursor where
you want to paste and press Ctrl-V

If you want to view what's in the clipboard, go to Start | Run, and type

clipbrd

In addition to what others have said you can add the clipboard viewer as
an option in the control panel.

Run the edit on Kelly's site:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Line 130: Add Clipboard to the Control Panel

See the top of the page for info on running the edit.
