Clipboard doesn't work anymore

Environment: Win XP

For some strange reason, the clipboard doesn't seem to
work anymore. When I do ^C ^V, what I copied is not
pasted. Even within an application such as PPT it doesn't
work.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

What version of Office? If it's one with the Office Clipboard, turn that
off --or-- open the Office program you're going to use and then do your
copying and pasting.
