Clikcing on executable

Was wondering that how come when I click on an .exe file, it shows a quick
black DOS type screen and then nothing else happens? This is from a program
that I want to check out and can not seem to do so. Hope someone knows how
to help me past this. Thanks.

Is this one specific .exe file? Try running it from a command window, not
from the desktop. More details would be helpful.

What exe are you clicking on? Some programs dont need
much time to run. This is windows and and exe will run in
a dos window for the amount of time it takes to finish.
If the program needs your feedback or exists to make you
happy or whatever then it comes on. If you want to see
whats on that DOS screen you might try to hit pause while
it is up.

This is for a game I downloaded and the file size is about 350mb, so I would
assume that it would take some time. Is not starting by double clicking the
icon, the how again do I install? Please be more specific. Any other
suggestions. Thanks a lot.

Come on. Can't anyone out there lend me a hand on this one. This is really
frustrating. Most of the time these groups are so helpful.

Hi Mark,

It needs to be run from: Start/Run/CMD.

Add Command Line (CMD) to the Right Click (Line 26)
