Hi,

my users are experiencing delays when using MS Office 2003 on their XP SP2
clients. Each time a new user logs in & opens MS Office, they have to wait a
minute or so while "Office Configures". I am aware that this did not used to
be the case before I introduced a new Group Policy.

Does anyone have advice on how I can prevent these "configurations"
occuring? The environment consists of students who use different machines on
a daily basis and very rarely sit at the same machine.

Thanks in advance.

You are better served from an Office newsgroup. Taking a stab here,
Office has been installed as a per user application instead of an all
users application so every time someone with a new username accesses it,
it has to be installed for that user. There is probably a quick
workarouind, but you'll need an Office expert.
