I have created a worksheet in which i have locked certain cells that i
do not want users to mistakenly change or enter data erroneously - a
fact that is likely to occur as less knowledgeable personnel shall be
using the same
MY question is that when a user mistakenly clicks on a locked cell by
default is an error mesage supposed to pop up? It does not in my
worksheet - instead the cursor just goes back to the last cell that is
unlocked. Is this the default behaviour of Excel? If it is not
anyway to get back to the original behaviour
How do i create a custom message that will show when the user does try
to access a locked cell deliberatlty or mistakenly ?
Mine is a file created in Excel 2007 and saved in Ecel 2003
Thanks for any help in this group
