I'm not really sure what to use or how to do what I want, but here goes. I
want to be able to just click on a roster to make a list of names so that I
dont have to keep typing them out everyday.

example.

Clicking in this roster - Automatically enters name in a list -
John Smith (click) John Smith
Jane Doe Adam Jones
Adam Jones (click)
Mike Murphy

I have to create a list of people's names everyday at work. It's different
people everyday, but from the same roster. One person might be there one
day, but not the next, or not for a week.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

I have solved my own problem! I added all the names and numbers I use in
AutoText, created a new Toolbar and customized it with all of the names and
numbers I need to use and put it in the corner. I just click on the
chevrons, click the name I want to use and voila! =)

You can do this easily with mail merge in Word 2002 and 2003. You need to
create a data source containing all the names and set up a mail merge main
document (in "Directory" format) that will be your list. Each time you want
to print a new list, you open the main document, check the specific names
you want in the Mail Merge Recipients dialog, and click Merge to New
Document.

This will be most effective if you first create a custom style for the
AutoText entries you're using for this specific purpose. Then, when you are
in a paragraph in that style, you'll see only the entries for those names.
