Clearing IE Address Bar

I can not get the address bar to delete old addresses, I
have cleared history, sookies, and temporary internet
files. I have also run spybot, adaware, adn windows washer
and this has not cleared the bar. Does anyone have any
advice. I am running Windows 2000.
