i recently added another 128MB RAM to my existing 128MB RAM on my laptop. as
part of the installation it says that i should clear the hibernation files
after installation. the process described in the handbook is not working. i
am on windows 2000 professional. Questions: is it essential that i am
clearing the hibernation files? and if so, how do i do it? thanks for your
help!

To clear the hibernation file, go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Power
Options->Advanced->Hibernate and untick "Enable hibernate support". Once
you have rebooted, re-enable it and (I believe) reboot once more.

This information can also be found in Windows 2000's built-in Help system:
Start->Help. Use the Index or Search tab and enter "hibernate".
