How do I clear all the formatting in a document. I used to be able to select
the text, and on the drop down formatting box I'd have the option to Clear
Formatting. Its not always available...

This is not a reply, but I think I basically have the same question.
At some point in a document last week I hit "CTRL + ______" (_____ = unknown
button). From that point forward my print layout does not change and I am
not able to control the side ruler bar. I know in some way it has something
to do with the formatting but I don't know how to fix it/clear it. Everytime
I try create a new document it is set at the new settings.

Please help!

Daiya.... thank you very much... that was in fact my problem. It seems to be
working now! Vivian

The Clear Formatting button merely applies the Normal style. You can
accomplish the same thing with Ctrl+Shift+N.
