Cleaning up XP Pro after upgrade from W98SE

I completed a XP Pro upgrade of a W98SE system. It was succsessful
except that I had to remove my NIC prior to upgrading and re-install it
after the upgrade to pick up the correct driver.

I've been doing clean-up and am having a problem removing Tweakui (the
older W98 version). It's gone from Add/Remove programs but still shows
in the Control Panel and 'tweakui.cpl' is in Windows/system32 directory.
I tried renaming it but just got an error message on start-up that
'tweakui.cpl' wasn't found.

Does anyone have a solution.

Thanks for the link, but deleting tweakui.cpl isn't the problem. The
problem is that XP still looks for it when I log on.

BTW I have installed the XP version of tweakui (it uses tweakui.exe).
I've been considering using tweakui to remove tweakui from control
panel, but that is only a disable not a removal.
