cleaning D drive

i have defragmented my d drive deleted files i dont need and done everything
i can to clean it up,yet i am running only 5% usuable space still, any
suggeestions as to what i can do?
 
other than the obvious and treat yourself to a new drive, and totally
delete what you really dont use more than twice a week, not much more
to suggest

Get a bigger drive,.
 
That means you need a new hard drive.You are running out of space.

What is on this disk? System, programme or data files.

To investigate how you are using hard disk space you need to make sure that
you can see all files. Go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View,
Advanced Settings and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and
folders" is checked and "Hide protected operating system files " is
unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should
also make certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types"
is not checked. Next in Windows Explorer make sure View, Details is selected
and then select View, Choose Details and check before Name, Type, Total
Size, and Free Space.

You still will not see the System Volume Information folder.

The download link is not obvious. Click the here in the two sentences of the

someone has asked for this. So here is a module you can install that shows a
Folder Size column in Explorer."

Do you have System Restore set to monitor all partitions as it should only
be monitoring your A partition i.e. the partition where the Windows
operating system is located. Right click on the My Computer icon on your
Desktop and select Properties and System Restore. For each of the other
partitions ( other than A ) click on the partition and then Settings and
drag the slider as far as you can to the left , click on Turn Off System
Restore on
this Drive and then OK. Repeat the process for each partition.

The default allocation for the Recycle Bin is 10 % of drive. On your drive
5% should be sufficient. In Windows Explorer place the cursor on your
Recycle Bin, right click and select Properties, Global and move the slider
from 10% to 5%,

What is on the D Drive? Remove more stuff or get a bigger drive.
