clean install resulted in loss of functionality

i recently did a clean reinstall of windows xp on my hp paviilion. it installed fine, but now i dont have any sound, because it wont recognize my sound card. it wont let me use the convinient buttons at the top of my keyboard(volume,mute,etc.)and it doesn't recognize my built-in monitor mounted mic.if anyone has any ideas it would really help

You need to install the correct drivers for the sound card, the
keyboard, and the mic.

Check if you have your drivers in the media you may have received with
your computer. Or you can go to the HP page www.hp.com (support and
drivers) and look for your PC model and drivers they have available.
