Classic File sharing issue

I have a small LAN, let's just say there are just two PCs on the LAN
for this question. I am NOT using Simple File Sharing.

When I connect to PC B from PC A, I have full control onPC B - ie. I
can read and write to the shared folders. However, when PC B connects
to PC A, I am able to read the folders, but I cannot *write* to them.
I've assigned full control to PC B's user profile while connected to
PC A, but I can still only read.

Any thoughts on this one?

how about some actual info instead of a hypothetical situation as there may be more than two p.c.'s on your lan and the others could be causing a fault with the sharing or casuing issues with your network

are either p.c.'s acting as dhcp servers (internet connection sharing), do you have simple file sharing on one machine, what are the folder/computernames your sharing? the workgroup names on each? static assigned ip addresses? what are the ips? what are you connecting your 2 p.c.'s with etc.....

a simple 2 p.c. network
one does thi
the other doesn't isn't enough info to go on especially in a "let's say......" situation
