Hi,

I have a problem whit the Cirrus Logic 64xx/542x video driver. I have get
the driver from W2K and it did not work to import it in CD and I try to use
the eConvert but it doesn’t work.
Now I have try to do the driver "manually" in CD and used the INF as source.
But the PnP don't work when I install the runtime image but if I put in the
Add remove hardware and installs the adapter from there I get it in the list
and it works fine to install it.

The INF looks like this:
%Cirrus% %CompatAdap% = cirrus
%Cirrus% 64xx/542x %CompatAdap% = cirrus, *PNP0904
%Cirrus% 543x/544x %CompatAdap% = cirrus, *PNP0905
%Cirrus% 754x %CompatAdap% = cirrus. *PNP0914
%Cirrus% 7548 %CompatAdap% = cirrus, PCI\VEN_1013&DEV_0038
%Cirrus% 7555 %CompatAdap% = cirrus, PCI\VEN_1013&DEV_0040

What should I write in the PnPID in CD/Resources? Now I use *PNP0904 is that
wrong or have I missed something?

Hope someone can help me.

Hi,

I can't get it to work whit PnP, the .dll is in the "system32" direcktory,
the .sys is in the "system32\drivers" direcktory and the .inf is in the "Inf"
direcktory.

I do not understand what's wrong because it's works in add and remove
hardware.

Hi Per,

There is nothing that you should understand, just read setupapi.log, PnP writes there what driver installation went ok and what went
wrong. It will tell you what files are missing, or reason for failure.

Please send us setupapi.loog
Also make sure that driver files are present before you do FBA.

Slobodan
