Hello there

New to XP (Home) from '98. Getting used to it gradually over the last week
or so & also the aspect of different accounts. The only thing is one of the
famly's members has a circumflex over a letter in their name (^) usually
Alt+0226 but I can't seem to get it featured in their account name title. Any
ideas?

Thank for any input, Mark.

Open the Character Map...
Start | Run | Type: charmap |
Select the font at the top.
Type: circumflex in the Search for box and click Search.
Select a character by clicking it, if you find one.
Click the Select button.
Click the Copy button.
Paste it in whatever ^

Or just find the letter with the circumflex and see if it has a Keystroke.

Alt+0202 for example. Ê
Alt+0194 for example. Â

I do not know if they are legal characters for Account names or not. You'll
find out.

Thanks for the suggestion, Wesley but I've already tried the key stroke
method (which seems to work elseware, Word doc's, etc.) but doesn't seem to
work on the Windows account name. Seems a bit odd :-(

Mark.

Maybe they aren't legal characters for account names in an English version
of XP.
