I would like a picture to look as though I am viewing it through a telescope
ie. circular, when using PowerPoint.

Commands comming to you from the Drawing toolbar:
To make a perfect circle chose the "Oval" icon, start the build while
holding down the shift key. While it is still selected use the "Fill
Color", "Fill Effects", "Picture" tab, "Select Picture" button.
Commands outside of Powerpoint:
Probably the "My Pictures" folder will open and you can make your fill
using one of those. If the picture is in a different location you may
have to use Windows + f and do a search. Or it may be on the internet
just waiting to be portrayed in your presentation.
Hope this helps to scope out an image.

Thank you so much. I have spent months trying to work this out.

Glad that it worked. This is one of the better groups to learn various
techniques. I started as a "self-taught" computer person only to soon
realize that I had a fool for a student. Now my Internet home page is
this site. It opens checking for what is new to me or getting some
clever saying that someone has sent along. I am a novice to the
helping-hand part and some explanations meander along - feel free to
ask for further explanation or road map.
