I have gone to Slide show and set up show and ticked off
no sound, yet when I rub slide show I get a whipping sound
similar to a wooshing sound that repeats throughout each
slide. How do I find this sound and eliminatre it. I have
also ensured each slide has no sound or animation.
Thanks
Barry

You forgot to tell us what versions of PowerPoint and Windows you're using.

Sounds as if the sound is on the slide master or embedded in the
transition since it repeats throughout each slide.

View/Master/Slide Master. Select each object and check the custom
animation settings to see if a sound is applied.

Then go to View/Slide Sorter View, select the slides and go to Slide
Show/Slide Transition. Is there a sound embedded there?
