Not sure what NFS is, but games like GuildWars, Counter-Strike, etc...
require quality machines and cards.

Just because you have a 2.4, 1.25GB RAM, and a 128MB video card doesn't
mean you have any real expectation of performance.

My game machine is a 3.0Ghz Hyper-Threaded, 512MB RAM, PCIx 256MB vidoe
card, and it runs the games I mentioned quite well, but an older 2Ghz
non HT, 128MB AGP machine doesn't come close, and forget Far Cry at
anything other than 640x480 with the lowest graphics settings on that
machine....

What computer, what CPU, what motherboard, what video card....

Because your graphics card can't handle the games you want to play. You
have a low-end graphics card. This has nothing to do with the Windows
XP operating system. You need to replace your video card with one that
meets the system requirements of the games you want to play.

My guess is that the 2.4ghz processor is one of the non-HT ones, may
even be a Celeron CPU, and it's a combination of cheap video card and
CPU that's killing him.
