Choose wired or wireless

I have 2 laptops in use at home. In one room only, one of the laptops does
not map a strong wireless connection. However that room has a wired
connection in it. How can I get that laptop to use the wired connection when
we are in that room?

Connect it with an ethernet cable. If there is more to this problem than
you are telling us, please post back with a better description.

It can be very hard for a non-technical person to know what to include
