Choose input for tablet PC with SP2 deployment?

Okay, here's my little dilemma - I would like to migrate all of our PCs to
Service Pack 2, however our tablet users have been a wee bit defiant. They
outright hate the new TIP stuff in SP2. Is there a way that I can install
SP2, yet keep the old TIP stuff out of SP1 active? Or at least something that
behaves as the SP1 TIP did?

Cross posting this one a little bit. Posted on XP help and support already
and haven't seen any ideas...
