CHKDSK

When I reboot my system, it says DiskChecking is needed BUT then it goes to
to say DiskChecking was cancelled! Why? How can I get this corrected so
that it will run properly?

Any suggestions?

Go into BIOS and see if SMART is enabled, if so disable it, SMART can
sometimes interfere with disk access & disk 'fix it' utilities!
