Unbundled Loop

When I run chkdsk it indicates the volume is good.
However, when I run chkdsk \r it says it found errors &
corrected them. I've done this 3 times succesivly; each
time having it report errors found & corrected. How many
times should you/can you run chkdsk /r?

depends if your hard-drive is going bad. other wise it is
just giving the drive more work dor it to do

Download a diagnostic utility for the hard drive from the drive
manufacturer's web site. This is usually put on a floppy and run from
there. Maybe the drive is going bad.

Also from within windows go to Start | Run type in "cmd" without the
quotes, then ok. Then type in chkntfs c: or what ever drive you're
checking. If the drive has errors it will say "dirty". If it says not
dirty then don't bother with running chkdsk.
